Name: Alan Sasson
After MHS I: Graduated university of Wisconsin-madison 1987. From there, moved to Chicago and sold computer software for 2 years. Took the money I made and started my own business. I had a wholesale candy company as well as a bulk candy/nut/chocolate retail store. After 4 years I sold the business and took a job managing money with Merrill Lynch in Bloomfield Hills Michigan. Stayed with Merrill Lynch for 6 years and then moved to Morgan Stanley, where I've been for the last 5 years. I've been married for 7 years to my beautiful wife Ellen. We live in West Bloomfield Michigan. We have two little boys Joe (4) and Max (3).
While at MHS, I would have loved to have had a date with (or been noticed by): Too small of a space to answer
Most Embarrassing High School memory is: See Above
Most exciting thing I’ve done since I left MHS: Business and my family always have a way of keeping things exciting.
Most bizarre place I’ve run into an old classmate: Oddly enough, I have never run into anybody or if I did I didn't recognize them.
Best friend while at MHS: Mike Weldon, Jim Dugan
The most meaningful moment I have had since MHS: Certainly not an original answer but the birth of my 2 sons was incredible.
I now reside in: West Bloomfield, Michigan
Here’s what I do on a daily basis: Play with the kids and work. Not in that order all the time.
I have kids?: Joe is 4, Max is 3
I am married?: yes
Spouse/Partner: My wife is Ellen. We have been married for 7 years. Ellen graduated from Tufts in Boston, went on to receive her MBA at Michigan and currently is a sales executive at IBM. She is smart and beautiful.
I’ve learned since high school: I probably should've picked up golf at age 17 instead of age 27.
What I would like to go down in history for: A great father and husband as well as a very successful money manager.
