Name: Bruce William Leach Birth Name: Same
After MHS I: Went to college in St.Cloud,MN and Aalborg, Denmark got married in 1990 and have had three children. Our oldest daughter Mackenzie was born in 1995, Allie was born in 1996 and we adopted a little boy named Sam from Russia in 2003.
While at MHS, I would have loved to have had a date with (or been noticed by): Darci Slater
Most Embarrassing High School memory is: I think all the memories of my feathered hair over my ears were some what embarrassing.
Most exciting thing I’ve done since I left MHS: Adopting my son Samuel from the obsure little town of Viksa Russia and traveling half way across the world by planes, trains and automobiles to get to him.
Farthest away from MHS: I would have to say Viksa Russia it had one bumpy road leading to the town and then there was nothing beyond the town. They called it the end of the earth because it was the end of the road. You just turned around and headed back the same way you came, on the one and only road in and out of town.
Most bizarre place I’ve run into an old classmate: When I was in Sweden I met with Per Blombergson, the exchange student from there.
Best friend while at MHS: That is a tough one because there was a pack of us. Brad Benshop, Eric Litterer, Kevin Borchart, John "Festy" Hagen, Stuart Flake, Doug Berg, Jeff Newhouse, John Good, Mark Schroer I have such great memories of all of them and I went on to room with Steve Schoot at St.Cloud State for three years and although we didn't know each other that well in high school, we had a blast in college!
The most meaningful moment I have had since MHS: The birth and adoption of my kids and every day since.
I now reside in: Excelsior, MN
Here’s what I do on a daily basis: Pray, Work, Dad, Husband, coach and laugh.
I have kids?: Mackenzie (8), Allie (7), and Sam (14 months)
I am married?: Yes-13 years
Spouse/Partner: Angie is a 1984 graduate Eden Prairie High School. My college sweet heart at St. Cloud State and is the best Mom in the world.
I’ve learned since high school: We have the opportunity to choose who our children's parents will be.
What I would like to go down in history for: A man who lived life to the fullest, who loved God and his family, He laughed and enjoyed life. He kept the faith and finished the race.
