Jay Erickson

Name: Jay Erickson
Birth Name: Jay Erickson

After MHS I: Attended the U of M. Went to work for an electronics company. Started working in wholesale PC Distribution. Currently I am the director of Sales for Nor-Tech which is a wholesale distributor of custom build-to-order PCs and components, serving resellers and integrators only.

While at MHS, I would have loved to have had a date with (or been noticed by): Linda Blanke, Lynn Lessard, Sue Knigge

Most Embarrassing High School memory is: Didn't really have one. Not too noticed in HS, I felt I was kind of like a desk... ...just..there.

Most exciting thing I’ve done since I left MHS: Getting married and having children seems to be a common thread. Beyond that, my wife and I just built a new house in the fall of 2002 across from Prior Lake.

Farthest away from MHS: Either 70 mile NW of Flin Flin Manitoba or Acapulco, Mexico.

Most bizarre place I’ve run into an old classmate: No real bizzare places. Jodi Walbaum at Grandma's Bar. Sue Leach married one of my old co-workers. Ron Russeth was my neighbor for a number of years. John McGinty & Kevin Denslow were in the same dorm as I was.

Best friend while at MHS: Kai Kroll (MTKA 1985)

The most meaningful moment I have had since MHS: Of course the birth of my children is very meaningful. Ironically, its a seemingly small thing, but hearing my wife and children tell me they love me and they are genuinely excited to see me when I get home... ...The Lord has truely blessed me with way more than I deserve. Seeing my family happy really means a lot to me.

I now reside in: Prior Lake, Minnesota

Here’s what I do on a daily basis: I am the director of sales for Nor-Tech. Also I am spoiled by my wife daily.I also enjoy snowmobiling, fishing, going to the cabin...

I have kids?: Yes. 2 girls, 1 boy. Kiara - 15, Jamie - 8, Scotty - 4-1/2 (Kiara and Jamie are almost 16 and 9)

I am married?: Yes

Spouse/Partner: Carmen Erickson (Schillinger) Wayzata HS class of '87. VERY pretty, treats me like a king, wonderful mother. Friends tell me my wife is "hot", I agree. I am the guy that is actually happily married.

I’ve learned since high school: What you do and say, or don't do and say, makes a difference in someone's life. So make a difference. Make sure others do not feel left out. Life isn't about me. I wish I had made more friends in high school, true, good friends are not always easy to come by.

What I would like to go down in history for: Nothing. I would be content just knowing my wife and kids are happy.
