Jennifer (Sevey) Thomas

Name: Jennifer Thomas
Birth Name: Jennifer Sevey

After MHS I: Went to college at Bemidji, quickly realized that I was not continuing education material so I came home and went to school to be a cosmetologist.

While at MHS, I would have loved to have had a date with (or been noticed by): Greg Steenson

Most Embarrassing High School memory is: I have a lot of embarrassing memories, but they are erased by the great ones.

Most exciting thing I’ve done since I left MHS: Exciting for me is having the house picked up before I go to bed so that when I wake up in the morning....it is clean.

Farthest away from MHS: I am a real homebody. I went to Myrtle Beach this summer for dance nationals.  Other than that not very far from home.

Most bizarre place I’ve run into an old classmate: Not bizarre but I seem to see a lot of them at The Dance Shoppe in Plymouth

Best friend while at MHS: Charlie Thomas, Tom Liychik, Ken Kaffine, Katy Andrada, Lonna Housman, Sue Leach

The most meaningful moment I have had since MHS: There are several "moments" that have been meaningful to me.  Getting married, watching my daughter get her first hit in softball, watching my other daughter in her first recital, paying all my bills on time and seeing a positive balance at the end of the month, seeing my friends find their life partners and being there to watch them all succeed in their lives, at the end of a bad day, having an endless supply of friends to call to talk with....I have been very fortunate in my life.

I now reside in: Plymouth, MN

Here’s what I do on a daily basis: I work full time at CIGNA Behavioral Health as an auditor.  I am lucky enough to be working from my house so I get to see my family each day when they wake up and leave to start their days. I spend the afternoons and evenings doing my second job that my friends have affectionately dubbed "extreme parenting"

I have kids?: I have 2 daughters Scarlet (13) and Lucy (7)

I am married?: Yes!

Spouse/Partner: Charlie Thomas, We got married February 14, 1987

I’ve learned since high school: Everyone wants to be heard, validated, and loved.  Find the people who also believe that and spend as much time with them as possible.

What I would like to go down in history for: I do not want to go down in history....When people remember me and any time we have spent together, I want it to make them smile.
