Name: Kim (Molly) Zimmerman Birth Name: Kimberly Mary Molly Mitzel
After MHS I: Graduated from the U of MN with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Married Randy, Supported Randy through medical school & residency, did some fun canoeing, biking and backpacking adventures, moved seven times, had 4 kids and built a house on the 120 acre farm where we have been the past 5 years
While at MHS, I would have loved to have had a date with (or been noticed by): Cliff Anderson
Most Embarrassing High School memory is: I heard some unbelievable stories about the criminal & sexual activities of an upperclassman from a reliable source. When I saw him I would cringe and blush wondering if he knew what I knew and if it were true
Most exciting thing I’ve done since I left MHS: I've played "Garden Safari" with my children. We found a 301 pound hubbard squash under a canopy of ragweed that was 6 feet tall!
Farthest away from MHS: Germany & Austria
Most bizarre place I’ve run into an old classmate: I signed up for the Vossaloppet ski race last winter because Sherry Koch (Anderson) asked me to; I thought it would be a great chance to see each other. We met for 15 minutes beforehand. We did the race and never found each other after!
Best friend while at MHS: Sherry Anderson, Jackie McMahon
The most meaningful moment I have had since MHS: The most meaningful experience for me was at Sears, discussing the merits of microwave glass insurance with my husband & the sales lady when we were newly wed. She said buying this insurance would be "the best decision you ever made" Too bad we didn't get the insurance
I now reside in: Paynseville, MN
Here’s what I do on a daily basis: I look for frogs in our pond, fields and woods; home school; oversee bunny, chicken & dog chores; pray; paint pictures; drive kids to lessons; run; tandem bike ride; run the Adoration program at our church; house maintenance; plan outings & vacations; volunteer; cook healthy & interesting meals and make time to relax, read & play with my husband and children
I have kids?: Yes, four. They are 2 girls ages 13 & 12 and two boys ages 2 and 6
I am married?: Yes
Spouse/Partner: Randy Zimmerman
I’ve learned since high school: Chemical Engineering; herbal nutrition; tree farming; mural painting; how to plan multi-age events for lots of kids at Scouts, church, in the library; farm living; parenting; spirituality and how to be a good spouse
What I would like to go down in history for: My outstanding skills in diaper trashball. It has been a subverted passion since I was not tall enough to play basketball in high school
