Name: Ted Andrada Birth Name: Ted (Edward) Andrada
After MHS I: Learned to enjoy sky diving, snorkeling, weight lifting, rock climbing, lived in Mexico, studied during shift working as a security guard, sang opera under Dale Warland & Leonard Slatkin, learned how to kiss girls much better, learned to read dead languages, graduated from Concordia in St. Paul, MN., worked in the Colorado Rocky Mnts. hiked many 14,000 ft. peaks, began studies at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO., learned to preach without being preachy, played volleyball on Miami Beach for a year, met a "fabulous girl," was ordained as a pastor, served a black inner city congregation in Shreveport, LA., overcame shyness and married "fabulous girl", built a home, travelled, moved to Toledo to serve a large congregation, had 2 sons, moved to San Antonio (home of the world champion SPURS!) Texas area, built another home, lost a 3rd child, then had twins just 3 months ago. It's been pretty slow.
While at MHS, I would have loved to have had a date with (or been noticed by): Lisa A., Jennifer G., Krissy L., etc.
Most Embarrassing High School memory is: Being dumb enough to combine skinny dipping with a bottle rocket fight at a police patrolled beach with Todd Baer and others. Thank God nobody got hit!
Most exciting thing I’ve done since I left MHS: Viewing the beauty of God's creation on mountains, dancing with my wife, being present to see my children born, and having a dying man in the hospital say, "Pastor, I'm so glad you're here" as I walked into his room.
Farthest away from MHS: Mexico City & Leon, Mexico; Bering Sea/Hooper Bay, Alaska
Most bizarre place I’ve run into an old classmate: While in the "Shrimp" class with my oldest son at the YMCA pool in Toledo, Sue Brague and I literally bumped into each other.
Best friend while at MHS: You, my girlfriend. Then, alphabetically, Todd Baer, Tim Luehmann, Tommy Steele. (We acquired a locker bank outside the administrative offices.) Thanks to all of you who befriended me at various times. It's fun to look back at my yearbook, I wish I could join you at the reunion. Drop me a note at revted@gvtc.com
The most meaningful moment I have had since MHS: I really like sunsets, thunderstorms, and singing in an empty church.
I now reside in: Fair Oaks Ranch/Boerne, Texas just NW of San Antonio.
Here’s what I do on a daily basis: Read my Bible & pray, play with my children, Visit people in their homes, work & hospitals, prep for & teach Bible classes (5/week), prep for & lead worship (3+/week), counsel couples, parents & kids, suffle more paper than you would believe, change diapers, feed babies, put toddlers to bed, help them pray, talk to my fabulous wife, all in serving people to the glory of God.
I have kids?: Boy howdy! Blaine - 4; Grant - 2 1/2; Austin & Kate - 3 months.
I am married?: Happily
Spouse/Partner: Jacqueline is a blessing I don't deserve. How she does it, I can't explain.
I’ve learned since high school: There are only a few things in life that are presious, faith, family & friends, and most people spend their time apart from these, even though they'd agree about their importance.
What I would like to go down in history for: A loving husband, a caring father, a servant of God. If I can't reach that, I'll settle for inventing a time travel device.
