Name: Tim Fury Birth Name: Timothy R. Fury
After MHS I: University of MN, BS in Business Mgmt Program. Then immediately began working after college for a local convenience store chain as a district manager & opening new stores. Then I went back to school to pursue my P.H.R. in Human Resources. I worked in HR for 10 years until purchasing a small business in Glencoe, MN in 2001
While at MHS, I would have loved to have had a date with (or been noticed by): No comment at this time.
Most Embarrassing High School memory is: In 10th grade social studies class I accidentally ripped the back side of my pants. Although I don't think anyone noticed, I couldn't help but think everyone was looking at me. I had to call home after class and have my mom bring me new pants.
Most exciting thing I’ve done since I left MHS: Taking a 5 day catamaran cruise of the Great Barrier Reef
Farthest away from MHS: My wife and I took a vacation to Australia & New Zealand in 1992
Most bizarre place I’ve run into an old classmate: While attneding a convention in Chicago I ran into Eric Dietrich. Eric remembered me first and he yelled out my name as I was passing by a vendor booth he was working. At first I thought he was trying to sell me something until I realized his intention. Kinda embarassing, but fun at the same time!
Best friend while at MHS: Tim Heiland
The most meaningful moment I have had since MHS: Getting married to my wife Tia and the birth of my 3 children
I now reside in: Winstead, MN
Here’s what I do on a daily basis: Own and operate a small business in Glencoe, MN. Play with my kids.
I have kids?: Yes. Liam 6, McKenna 4 and Emma 13 months
I am married?: yes
Spouse/Partner: Tia Fury (formerly Tia Schmidt)
I’ve learned since high school: How much family & friends mean to me. That success in life is not necessarily measured by financial success. Although it took me the better part of 20 years to figure it out.
What I would like to go down in history for: Being a good husband, a good father and successful in business...in that order
